2-AEP also called 2-aminoethylphosphate, aminoethyl phosphoric acid, colamine phosphate, 2-aminoethyl esther of phosphoric acid, or 2-amino ethanol phosphate is a demineralized component of the cell membrane and has the ability of forming complexes with minerals, such as calcium, magnesium and potassium, which assists its transportation into the outer layer of the cell membrane and is there metabolized, possibly increasing cell membrane resistance to toxin and viral penetration, while additionally releasing its mineral attachment for intra or extra-cellular utilization.

Calcium, magnesium and potassium are well known for their ability to increase or maintain intra and extra-cellular pH and also participate in a variety of essential mineral mediated pathways or exchange. Calcium, magnesium, and potassium are added to the 2-AEP Complex for availability to form the mineralized complex of 2-aminoethylphosphate for cellular membrane transportation and utilization.

Ca2-AEP complex and/or other mineral salt forms of phosphorylethanolamine may be useful in nutritionally supporting and maintaining proper cellular structure and function, intra-cellular pH, hair and skin health, bone health, immune support, and as an adjunctive or complementary nutritional consideration for persons with multiple sclerosis with physician approval and supervision.
